In this panel, we raise the question: What is typically overlooked when discussing mental health? Feminism has taught us that personal matters often are related to political (social) matters – but do we recognise it in the case of mental health? In our own mental health, in the mental health of our families and communities?
Our main question today is how mental health is related to social and political issues. After having identified collective sources of distress, we will seek to find some collective tools to address these. In other words, we’ll try to answer the question: How can we politically mobilize on the issue of mental health?
Panel speakers: psychotherapist Paulius Garmus (UK/LT), psychology student and activist Marivi Bauer (DE), expert by experience and writer Elena Gasiulytė (LT) and moderator Monika Višnevska (LT/DE).
